The Heart of Us:

A Culture Story Wall

A facilitated visual storytelling process that helps organizations make their culture visible — the values, moments, and meaning that hold the work together.

What is The Heart Of Us?

The Heart of Us is not a timeline or a branded mural.
It’s a visual way of holding who you are — where you began, what shaped you, and what you’re growing toward.

Through guided conversations, I work with your organization to identify the moments, values, and symbols that matter most. Those elements are translated into a bold, black-and-white wall installation that becomes a shared visual anchor for staff, leadership, and new hires.

Why this matters

  • Preserves culture during growth and change

  • Makes values visible and lived, not abstract

  • Creates a shared language across teams

  • Supports onboarding and orientation

  • Grounds strategy in purpose and meaning

Who is's For

The Heart of Us is designed for organizations where purpose matters as much as performance.

  • Nonprofits

  • Healthcare organizations and care teams

  • Mission-driven, fast-growing organizations

  • Teams navigating growth, change, or transition

How it Works

Step 1 — Listening & Story Mining

  • Conversations with leaders and key voices

  • Origins, turning points, values, and future direction

Step 2 — Visual Translation

  • Development of a shared narrative

  • Creation of a symbolic visual language

Step 3 — Wall Installation

  • On-site creation of the full wall

  • Calm, intentional, collaborative presence

Optional Step 4 — Digital Version

  • A digital companion for onboarding, internal use, or remote teams

The Visual Language

The Heart of Us wall reflects the journey of your organization — from its early conception through growth, change, and beyond — through simple, symbolic visuals.

Created through collaboration, the images on the wall take on the life of the organization itself, holding its ups and downs, its wins and losses, and the moments that shaped what exists today.

Because the visuals are intentionally simple, they are accessible to everyone, regardless of role, background, or language. People don’t need the same experience to recognize what is being expressed.

Over time, these shared symbols become a common reference point — helping people see themselves as part of the story and feel connected to the journey they are contributing to.

What the Wall Becomes

  • A daily visual reminder of purpose

  • A grounding point during change

  • A powerful onboarding tool

  • A shared story people recognize themselves in
